September 14th, 2026

 Dear Diary,

I am currently sitting in my bed, contemplating my dating life. Long story short, I downloaded a dating app on my phone in hopes of making connections with people (bad idea already).

About a week ago, I matched with this guy who lived about an hour away from me, and after about a week of talking, we decided to meet up. Yesterday, he arrived at my apartment, and everything was fine so far. He gave me a flower (a green flag in my book), and we seemed to have so much in common. We decided to put on a movie and things escalated from there. He ended up staying the night.

I thought everything was going good so far. He was cute, funny, the sex was good. But it all started to go downhill. One of my biggest red flags in a person is when they say slurs, especially when they do NOT have the privilege to say so.

This man, a white guy btw, said the n word. I have never felt so turned off, and absolutely disgusted, in a long time. It was so odd, because he considered himself "progressive" (his words, not mine).

*Sigh*

It's very upsetting. I have been single for a while, so I thought that it would be nice to put myself out there and meet some people, yk? I may be feeling a little dramatic, but it makes me wonder...

    Am I done dating men?!

Stay weird,

    Manic

The Empress

Right side up, The Empress represents nurture of yourself and others. She reminds us to embrace our creativity and to trust the flow.

Right now, one may feel that they are not taking time for themselves and others. They are not putting time aside for love, whether it be internal or external. One might also feel that they are lacking a sort of creativity, and long for it.

This is a sign to embrace your feminie side, and to take time to nurture yourself. Listen to your emotions and what your body is telling you.

The Empress also reminds us that with creativity, comes abundance.

Trust yourself and others and abundance will follow.
